No matter what the others said Kristine didn't remember Pill Bug coming on the camping trip this year. She remembered that the previous year she had traveled with Pill Bug on the trip down. The entire car ride Pill Bug had demanded they listen to Epiphany on the radio. This year, however, they didn't listen to Epiphany at all. Therefore, Pill Bug wasn't in the car so he couldn't have come.

  While the others ran around looking for Pill Bug, Kristine decided to cook some beans. Every one loved beans, especially Pill Bug. Kristine suddenly had a thought. No one liked beans more than Pill Bug, so maybe he did come on the camping trip. Maybe he had found his own ride down this year. How else could you explain the beans?

  Kristine decided to go help the others find Pill Bug. First though she would eat some of Pill Bug's famous cheesy potatoes. To her surprise there were no cheesy potatoes. Pill Bug always made cheesy potatoes on camping trips and since there were no cheesy potatoes maybe Pill Bug really hadn't come like she first though. If he had come, there would certainly be cheesy potatoes.

  Once again Kristine had convinced herself that Pill Bug had not come on the camping trip. She decided to go back to making the beans. As soon as she started she got to thinking again. If Pill Bug hadn't come then why was she making beans in the first place. Maybe he had come. If he had come though where were the cheesy potatoes? Maybe he made the cheesy potatoes and then ate them all because the beans weren't ready yet. That's it she though. So Kristine decided to make the beans and then go look for Pill Bug to tell him they were ready.
