In one of always the most entertaining events at the Pill Bug
Olympics, Grace walked away with the most phone numbers and the gold
medal in the Macking competition. This competition is rather simple in nature.
Each contestant is released in a shopping mall in upper Buggland. The contestant
must go around and mack (flirt) with as many people as they can. They get
a point for every person they secure the phone number of. To avoid cheating
each contestant is watched closely by an appointed judge.
An event usually dominated by women featured Grace and Lily of Butenia,
Ryan and Mark of Marylando, Jennifer and Sara of Campbella, and Lydia
of Otros. Women seem to dominate this competition because men have been more likely
to give their numbers out opposed to women. Taking this in mind, Ryan from
Marylando decided to pretend to be gay and go after men's numbers.
The competition started and Grace got off to a lead getting the numbers
from the first three guys she talked too. Jennifer who was much more "hands on"
in her macking technique received phone numbers from every guy she macked on but
it took her longer to get each one than normal. Lily and Sara also did very well
getting numbers almost from the same guys. Mark got more slaps than numbers but
still faired a lot better than Ryan who after his first attempt was knocked out
cold. Lydia was distracted by a sale during the event and along with Ryan finished
with no numbers. In the end Grace won with 14 numbers. Jennifer had 9. Lily
edged out Sara 7 to 6.
